Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
While For Her Physiotherapy is best known for our pelvic health services, all of our physiotherapists are fully trained and experienced in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment. We take a whole‑body approach to care, recognizing that pain and movement concerns are rarely isolated to one area of the body.
Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy is delivered with the same values that underpin all of our care, compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. Most of our physiotherapists also have Pilates instructor training, which allows us to integrate principles of controlled movement, strength, stability, and body awareness into your rehabilitation and exercise programs where appropriate. We take the time to understand your story, your body, and your goals, and tailor treatment to support you in moving with confidence and comfort.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy During Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery
Pregnancy and the postnatal period bring significant physical changes. Shifts in posture, hormonal influences, altered load, and the demands of caring for a baby can all contribute to musculoskeletal pain or discomfort.
We support women during pregnancy and after birth with a gentle, supportive, and practical approach, which may include hands‑on treatment to ease pain and stiffness, education and activity modification to reduce strain, and guidance around support garments or belts where appropriate. We also provide individualized strength and conditioning programs, designed to build resilience and confidence in movement as your body changes and recovers.
Our focus is not just on reducing symptoms, but on helping you feel supported, informed, and capable in your body during this stage of life.

Conditions We Treat
Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy services support a wide range of concerns, including pelvic, spinal, upper limb, and lower limb conditions. This includes neck and back pain, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and foot issues, as well as postural or movement‑related pain.
We also regularly treat pregnancy‑ and postnatal‑specific conditions, such as pregnancy‑related pelvic girdle pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, and upper limb pain related to feeding, lifting, and carrying.
In addition, Emily has undertaken further training and has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of headaches and migraines. You can learn more about this service on our Headache & Migraine page.
